A UPMC doctorate has won the International Daniel Jouvance Award

The Daniel Jouvance International Award 2014 has been attributed to Marine Landa.

The scientist conducted her thesis at the Microbial Oceanography Laboratory (LOMIC) joint research unit UPMC/CNRS, part of the oceanographic observatory of Banyuls sur Mer. Entitled "The relationship between dissolved organic matter and diversity of marine heterotrophic bacterial communities," this thesis has already been the subject of four scientific publications. Marine Landa now pursuing a post-doctorate at the University of Georgia. Since 1992, the Daniel Jouvance Award has bee given to young researchers for their fundamental and pioneering work in marine biology. It is a sign of recognition from the industry.
