Agri-Food Industry

This specialization trains managers capable both of mastering the technology specific to the grain industry and the aspects related to microbiological health safety tests, and of adapting to positions in agri-food. Students are also taught about certain environmental microbiology problems related to pollution from the agri-food industry. Two optional modules are offered in 3rd year: “formulation and quality of grain products” and “health and environmental safety”.

Opportunities

Further study

PhD in a research laboratory or within the framework of an industrial contract for training through research (CIFRE), master’s degree in management, etc.

Careers

With their advanced knowledge of microbiology, food engineering and plant science, graduates of this specialization are capable of giving correct diagnoses on quality and manufacturing processes, of envisaging an industrial project in its entirety and of bringing it to fruition. Proving the pertinence of their qualification, these engineers find work in open professions, from R&D to marketing, in various fields, agricultural coops, primary grain processing companies (cereals, oilseeds, etc.), secondary processing companies (animal food, malthouse, starch manufacturing, etc.).
