Shanghäi 2015 Ranking

UPMC, the top French university

On 15 August, the University of Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic World, the research center of the world's top universities, published its annual ranking (ARWU).

UPMC continues this year to lead French research universities. It is also in the 7th place in Europe and reached 36th worldwide.

In mathematics, the university retains the top spot in France and Europe and ranks fifth in the world.

In physics, it is positioned 2nd in France, 7th in Europe and 29th in the world.

For natural sciences and mathematics, UPMC is first in France. It is 4th in Europe and in 14th place worldwide.

In engineering/technology and computer sciences, the university also takes the top spot in France. It moved up to 4th place in Europe and 32th worldwide.

In life sciences, UPMC is second in France, 29th in Europe and between 76th and 100th place worldwide.

In medicine, it is ranked 3rd in the country, 48th in Europe and is positioned between the 101st and 150th place worldwide.
