Lamia Braci receives the France Quality Performance Award, Student Category

A doctoral candidate in process and high-technology engineering, Lamia Braci won the France Quality Performance Prize, in the Student category on 28 novembre 2013. 

This award recognizes her professional thesis on the feasibility of appliying the ISO 50001 standard across the company GRTgaz (the GDF SUEZ - Gas Infrastructure Company). ISO 50001 aims to improve the energy performance of an organization though a systematic approach to improving energy efficiency, use and consumption in the business. Braci's work focused on determining how GRTgaz could apply this standard to all its activities to enable the company to be even cleaner for the environment. In total, the application of ISO 50001 enables GRTgaz to double the number of energy saving certificates awarded each year.

An air quality process engineering since 2010, Lamia Braci specialized in quality management at the National School of Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) ParisTech. During her 6-month internship, she joined GRTgaz, within the Mission Quality Safety Environment (MQSE).

The France Quality Performance Award is given each year to public or private organizations that have shown exemplary quality and performance. The prize in the Student catagory was presented for the first time this year.
