Guillaume Fiquet, deputy director of the IMPMC (UPMC/CNRS/IRD), awarded for his work in geochemistry

Guillaume Fiquet, CNRS Research Director and Deputy Director of the Institute of Mineralogy and Condensed Matter Physics, has been elected a 2013 Geochemical Fellow at the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry.

 

This distinction is awarded to scientists who have made ​​major contributions in the field of geochemistry.

Apprehending the internal dynamics of our planet, research geophysicist studying the partial melting of deep mantle and implications for the Earth crystallization of a primordial magma ocean.

His award will be presented at a ceremony during the Goldschmidt Conference in Florence (Italy) in August 2013.
