Pharmacologie clinique et expérimentale

 This is a specialization of the master's degree in Integrative Biology and Physiology.

The aim of pharmacology is to discover medicinal drugs and to study their properties and the effect they have on living organisms, humans in particular, in view of their therapeutic administration and the limitation of any undesirable effects. The field is closely linked with normal and pathological physiology.
The Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology specialization aims to provide students with the conceptual and experimental bases of the study of medicinal drugs. Students increase their knowledge of drugs’ potential targets, their intended effects and side effects, and the identification of sources of variability, genetic and non-genetic, of the response to their administration in humans. Students also learn about methodological and regulatory aspects of the development of medicinal drugs, from both the academic and industrial points of view.

  *Main experimental approaches specific to neurosciences (6ECTS)

  *Exploration of the physiological fuctions of small animals (6 ECTS)

  - 1 UE for a 3-month internship in France or abroad (12 ECTS)

Master 2 - Semestre 1 (30 ECTS)

- Compulsory UEs 

  *Clinical Pharmacology (6ECTS)

  *Clinical neuropsychopharmacology (3ECTS)

  *Cardiovascular pharmacology (3ECTS)

  *Iatrogenesis, and pharmacoepidemiology (3ECTS)

  *Pharmacology of anti-cancer drugs, and innovative therapies (3ECTS)

  * Introduction to pathology in medicine (6ECTS)

- Master 2 - Semestre 2 (30 ECTS)

UE for a 6-month internship in France or abroad

Well-targeted public

- Students in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and veterinary.

The M1 is compatible with the level of second cycle studies.

The M2 is open to all students who have completed the second round of Medicine / Pharmacy / Dental / Veterinary and having completed at least the equivalent of 24 additional ECTS including 12 ECTS for UEs related - directly or indirectly - in Pharmacology. The Teaching Council will consider on a case by case applications in M2 in relation to these additional UEs.

The M2 can be achieved in the continuity of the M1 but the benefit of M2 is likely to be Optimized for students being Internat - by providing a year's interruption of the internship.

Access to the M1 is possible in terms of the license.

Access to M2 requires the formal validation of a bioscience M1 UEs of 3 Pharmacology of M1 (18 ECTS) or equivalent UEs to content from other M1.
