Armelle Martelet, 'grand jeté' and 'pas de chat' between the dance room and university

Armelle Martelet

Now in the first year of a master’s degree in fundamental and applied chemistry, Armelle Martelet is handling her career as a jazz dancer brilliantly : it was with first class honours that she received an advanced degree (diplôme supérieur) from the Malakoff Conservatory. She was also given an award at the French Stage Competition (Concours de la Scène Française) in the ‘excellence’ category (first runner-up).
‘It’s also thanks to the good administrative and teaching support offered by UPMC that I’m able to manage my sports career in a complete and satisfying manner. I am currently training to take the technical aptitude test, which I hope to obtain this year. Later on, I would love to dance with professional companies.’
