Disabled sport

Every year, with the assistance of the Department of Physical and Sports Activities (DAPS), the support of the UPMC Sports Association and the university's social committees, the Disability Support Service (Relais Handicap Santé) organises disabled sports events and courses and outdoor sports trips.

Such as...

Solidarity Sports (May 1998), outdoor courses in Banyuls (June 2000), Chamonix (June 2001, June 2002 and March 2003).

These trips offer you the opportunity to safely practice a large number of activities: climbing, horse-riding, all-terrain wheelchair riding, Joëlette hiking, swimming, paragliding, diving, rafting, water-skiing, sailing and mountain biking.

A UPMC disability sports teacher organises and coordinates all of these activities.  They are also at the Disability Support Service once a week throughout the year.

The sports department is also greatly involved in disabled-able week, held at the beginning of November every year
